VISION Our vision is a growing number of non-profit co-operative communities that provide secure and healthy homes as a foundation for fulfilling lives.

MISSION To expand and promote the supply of non-market housing by acquiring and converting land and/or buildings, and by fostering the development of new co-operative housing communities.

IDENTITY

The Statement of the Co-operative Identity states that the co-operative is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically-controlled enterprise.

Self-help, self-responsibility, equality, equity, solidarity, honesty, openness, social responsibility, and caring for others.

PRINCIPLES

Open and voluntary membership; democratic member control; members' economic participation; autonomy and independence; education, training, and information; cooperation among co-operatives; concern for community.

Mahone Bay Community Land Co-operative will be holding its annual general meeting on May 21, 2024, St. James Parish Hall, 14 Parish St., Mahone Bay, 7:30 pm.
